Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information BolderFit.AI ("BolderFit," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Because BolderFit.AI handles fitness and body-composition data, our handling of "consumer health data" is described in a separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, which you are asked to consent to separately.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information - your chosen username, your email address, a securely hashed version of your password, and the invite code used to register. Your email address is used to sign in, to verify your account, and to send password-reset links you request; we do not use it for marketing and never sell it.
• Fitness & training data - the workouts, exercises, sets, weights, reps, RPE, rest times, tempo, and any notes you log.
• Body & health metrics - data you choose to enter, such as body weight, body-fat percentage, and (if you opt in) extended body-composition measurements from a compatible scale.
• Screenshots you choose to upload - if you use the check-in import feature, a screenshot of your scale app that you select yourself (nothing is captured automatically). The image is processed transiently to read the values into the check-in form for your review, is never stored by us, and is discarded as soon as processing completes. Only the numeric values you then choose to save are kept.
• Coaching conversations - the messages you exchange with the in-app coach and the context (your profile, plans, and logged history) used to generate responses.
• Usage & technical data - your timezone (to show dates correctly), basic activity needed to operate the app, and a record of AI request volume used for cost monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core service: storing your workouts, tracking progress, and generating personalized coaching.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
• To communicate with you about your account or the service when necessary.

3. AI Coaching & Service Providers

To deliver the coaching features and run the app, your data is processed by a small set of third-party service providers who act on our behalf:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) - generates coaching responses. Your relevant training and profile data is sent to Anthropic's API to produce a response. If you use the screenshot check-in import, the screenshot you upload is also sent to Anthropic's API to read the values; the image is used only for that extraction, is discarded after processing, and is not retained by us.
• Render - application hosting.
• Turso - encrypted database hosting where your data is stored.
• Resend - delivers transactional account emails (email verification and password-reset links) to the email address on your account. Resend processes your email address and the contents of these messages solely to deliver them. We send no marketing email.
• Formspree - processes feedback you choose to submit through the in-app form.

These providers are permitted to use your data only to provide their services to us. We encourage you to review their respective privacy practices.

4. Health Information & Not Medical Advice

The fitness and body-composition data you enter can be sensitive. We treat it with care and only use it to provide the service. By choosing to enter this information, you consent to our collecting and processing it as described in this policy. You are not required to provide any health metric, and you can delete it at any time. BolderFit.AI is a training and tracking tool, not a medical service, and its coaching does not constitute medical, nutritional, or professional health advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making changes to your exercise, diet, or supplementation.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only: (a) with the service providers listed above to operate the app; and (b) if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.

6. Administrator & Operator Access

BolderFit.AI is operated by its administrator, who can access certain information to run and support the service:

• An internal admin dashboard displays your username, account creation date, training goal, last-active date, and aggregate activity counts (such as the number of workouts, sets, exercises, and coaching conversations), along with AI usage and estimated cost. This is used to operate the service, understand usage, and manage costs.
• As the operator of the underlying database, the administrator also has the technical ability to access the data you store - including your logged workouts, body metrics, and coaching conversations - and can reset account passwords or delete accounts when necessary to support the service.
• This access is used only to operate, support, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service. We do not use it for unrelated purposes, and we do not sell your data.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• You can view and edit your training data, plans, body metrics, and profile at any time within the app.
• You can permanently delete your account from Account Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, workouts, plans, body metrics, and coaching conversations from our active database.
• You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at the address below. We will fulfill requests manually and respond within 45 days.
• Depending on where you live (for example, California, Washington, or other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information. You also have the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. To exercise any such right, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
• You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require reasonable verification before honoring agent-submitted requests.
• We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

7a. Data Retention

• Account and fitness data - retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile, workouts, plans, body metrics, and coaching conversations are removed from our active database. Deletion takes effect immediately; some data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being overwritten.
• AI usage logs - aggregate token-usage records (used for cost monitoring, not linked to your content) may be retained after account deletion.
• Feedback submissions - processed by Formspree and subject to their retention policy.

7b. International Data Processing

BolderFit.AI is operated from the United States. The third-party services we use (Anthropic, Render, Turso, Resend, Formspree) may store or process your data on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the app you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

8. Security & Breach Notification

We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls that scope your data to your own account. No system is perfectly secure, and as an early-stage beta you should not store information you consider highly sensitive beyond what the app is intended for.

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you without unreasonable delay and within the timelines required by applicable law, including Pennsylvania's breach notification statute and, where identifiable health data is involved, the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule (which requires notice to affected users and the FTC within 60 days of discovery).

8a. Cookies

BolderFit.AI uses a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We use no advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind, and no third-party cookies are set by the app.

9. Business Transfers

If BolderFit.AI or Rombold Labs LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you via in-app notice or the email on file before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

10. Do Not Track

Some web browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. BolderFit.AI does not track you across third-party websites or services and does not serve advertising, so your experience does not change based on a DNT signal. There is no cross-site data sale or sharing to opt out of.

11. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use BolderFit.AI. If you are under 18, you should use the app only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. The app is not directed to children under 13.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and ask you to review and accept the updated policy the next time you sign in.
